Ezekiel 34 [Then and Now]

Shalom God's Talmidim. Our father Abraham was known as a fisher of men. From the time of his exodus from the land in which Elohim extracted him, and set down the path before, Abraham was off and running. Like King David; Abraham was first a shepherd of sheep, and then, asking, seeking and knocking his way to a higher plato, desiring the mountain before him. Abraham was without a doubt in good company before his time, before the time of Moses and David. You may be wondering why the name Yeshua doesn't appear above and I will tell you why. Yeshua was before all else. Yeshua was the cloud by day and the fire by night. Long before Yeshua comforted his disciples he appeared to our forefathers in the wilderness. A shepherd he was but in  a spiritual form. There are seven things that are known to have been prepared before the creation of the world; two of them are, Torah and the name of the Messiah. Matthew 16: 5 - 7 "Not one of you is asking me, 'Where are you going?' Instead, because I have said these things to you, you are overcome with grief. But I tell you the truth, it is to your advantage that I go away; for if I don't go away, the comforting Counselor will not come to you. However, If I do go, I will send him to you.

We are to treat every living thing rather it be a fellow human being or beast of the field, those in the heavens and the teeming sea life with the greatest of kindness. So regardless if HASHEM has blessed you with a flock of sheep, a congregation or children, they are to be taken care of. To be honored with the task of leadership, a role that is heavenly, a mission that is ordained since your conception needs your utmost attention. Shortly we will be discussing Ezekiel 34, a chapter of time, endless in its calculations, the shortfall of our leaders. If you are familiar with Lech Lecha a portion within Torah within the book of Genesis, then you may know 17: 1 I Am El Shaddai, walk before Me, and be perfect in your ways. The book of Ezekiel reads of sadness, one of many in our Tanakh, beginning with the fall of Solomon's Temple.

Ezekiel 34: 1 - The Word of HASHEM came to me saying: Ben Adam, prophesy against Israel's shepherds; prophesy and say to them, to the shepherds; Thus says my Lord HASHEM/ELOHIM: Woe! shepherds of Israel who have shepherded themselves! Should it not be the sheep whom the shepherds tend? The reward is great, it's dividends are enumerable and the feeling unexplainable. What can compare or be given, then to give of one self? In one of my earlier segments titled The River Bank, we discussed the relationship between God and man, the obstacles between us, and how we can reconnect. Yes, reconnect to the source. Consider this, you've been given the key to the Temple, HASHEM has revealed to you His word, and now you have the tools. What do you do?
